A traditional Mother Christmas inspired by the Arctic Circle story of Babushka The Present Giver, travels through the streets on her annual journey of present giving. Her Elf, Sunna, invites the children to come forward and tell Mother Christmas their Christmas wishes, before the Sleigh speeds off, jingling through the snow, back to the North Pole.
One by one three very different characters arrive through the audience and try to take over the house. A battle of wills and skills ensues with ducking and diving, wheeling and dealing and ingenious plans evolve as each person tries to gain a room inside. Little by little in a choreographed frenzy of acrobatics, silks trapeze, hat juggling and slap stick they begin to accept each other and work to create a home together within the battered house. The only remaining problem … the furious bird in the chimney.
A wonderful silent movie inspired show using an eclectic mix of circus, puppetry, musical saw, harp playing and audience participation.
Two sparkling giant Snowball Sprites on wheels, whizz speedily round and round in a flurry of excitement as the first snow falls for Winter.
They are completely rotund as if wrapped inside a huge glittering snowball but too impossibly short to be human. They dance mischievously with the audience in a whirling blizzard as they spin around.
A stunning snow white Snow Queen on Stilts blasts about the streets, blowing the North Wind into peoples faces, dripping icicles from her frosty fingers onto their noses and sprinkling the crowd with the Arctic snow. Let the North Wind blow!
A stunning snow white Snow Queen on Stilts blasts about the streets blowing the North Wind into peoples faces and sprinkling them with snow, whilst her frisky Ice Elf, Snowflake is Globe Walking alongside on a giant white snow ball, leaping on and off to frolic amongst the crowd.
The Snow Queen peddles her icy vessel, a tricycle platform, through the blizzards she scatters about, as her two Ice Elves, Snowflake and Snowdrop perform a breathtaking Acrobatic Balance routine on the front of her ice chariot.
